2017-2018 Academic Year Assessment Goals:

  • Implement critical reading rubric and data collection on a voluntary basis during fall semester; collect feedback S 18.

  • Revise diversity outcome and present to faculty for approval, establish baseline measure using data collected Spring 2017 from faculty, implement, continue professional development for faculty.

     
  • Present Effective Teaching definition to faculty, discuss uses with faculty, conduct professional development.
    • Effective teaching includes establishing mutual respect; communicating clear expectations; engaging students and providing appropriate academic challenge; adapting instruction to student/class needs; fairly assessing student learning; and preparing students to be lifelong learners.
