Ty Hughbanks

Ty Hughbanks went to Northwestern Oklahoma State University for his bachelor’s degree and completed his master’s at Murray State University.

He loves students and tries to motivate them to become more scholarly! Mr. Hughbanks is a great storyteller and students enjoy hearing about his travels through fifty countries around the world. Pictures from these travels can be seen in the halls of the Math/Science wing.

Nathan Bussen

Nathan Bussen has completed two bachelor’s degrees. One in Fisheries Management and Technologies from Kansas State University and Wildlife Biology from Fort Hays State University.

Before coming to SCCC Mr. Bussen worked at the Kansas department of Wildlife and Parks raising fish. Off campus Nathan enjoys fishing, hunting, and other outdoor activities with his children. Mr. Bussen states, attendance is the key to success in college, so expect attendance to account for part of your grade. He will stay on topic during his lectures as he uses fish and wildlife examples. 

Dr. William Bryan

Dr. William Bryan began his post-secondary education at West Texas A&M University where he earned bachelor’s degrees in both Chemistry and Physics. His graduate work includes a master’s in chemistry from West Texas A&M and a PhD in STEM education. 

Dr. Bryan likes watching student faces when they get the “aha” moment in understanding what and why they are learning. Dr. Bryan has traveled to thirty-four US States and has a goal to make it to all fifty.
