Non-degree seeking Students

A person can enroll at Seward County Community College as a non-degree seeking student if the individual:
  • Is not pursuing an approved certificate or degree from the college.
  • Is taking courses for personal enrichment.

Non-degree seeking students are not eligible for federal financial aid and certain institutional aid. Student services, including advisement, are available upon request. Seward County Community College reserves the right to refuse admission or readmission to individuals deemed harmful to the college community’s best interests, or if the college cannot provide the necessary services, courses, or programs to fulfill individual educational goals.

Required Application Materials

We cannot begin to review your enrollment process until all the documents listed below are received. These deadlines and requirements pertain to both domestic and international applicants.

Application requirements for admission to the college are the same for all students, regardless of the academic major/area of interest.*

*Students who wish to be considered for direct admission to a program in the areas of Nursing, Respiratory Therapy, Surgical Technology, Medical Laboratory Technology, Cosmetology, or CDL will also need to complete an additional application and/or interview.

Admissions Checklist

  • Click here to download a copy of the TB Screening Questionnaire.
  • Email the form to once it has been completed.
  • Submit an official high school transcript (including final grades, grade point average, class ranking, and date of graduation) or an official copy of a GED transcript to the registrar’s office. (Attention: Registrar, PO. Box 1137, Liberal, KS, 67905)

*If the ACT/SAT scores are more than two years old, you will be required to take the free ACCUPLACER Test at the SCCC Testing Center. To schedule a test, call (620) 417-1042.

  • For more information on how to request your final high school transcript, contact the high school you attended.
  • If no ACT/SAT scores exist, you will be required to the ACCUPLACER test.

You can submit your official transcripts from any previous institution via parchment through your institution’s registrar office or via mail. Please note that transcripts must be official transcripts.

Financial Aid Checklist

  • By completing the FAFSA, students can see if they qualify for work-study, Pell grants, and student loan opportunities.

  • To access the SCCC Scholarship Application, click here.
    • Applications are accepted throughout the year with priority dates being April 1 for Fall Semester and November 1 for Spring Semester.
  • Before you can access the SCCC Scholarship page, you must have your log in information that was provided in your letter of acceptance.

Enrolling in Classes

  • To schedule a personal appointment with a general advisor, contact the Student Success Center at (620) 417-1700.
  • For incoming New Freshman, refer to the next step.

All Saints Enrollment Days are for incoming students to meet with staff and faculty and is geared to enrolling students in classes for the Fall semester. To register and for more information, click here.
