Glass Bead Making

October 28 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

$39.00

Lamp work (torchworking) is the process of using a single flame (the lamp or torch) to make small, glass objects. Our lamp is a propane oxygen burning torch called a minor burner. Rods of glass are melted in the torch flame and wrapped around a steel rod called a mandrel. The rods are prepared with bead release, which allows the annealed and cooled beads to be removed for use in jewelry.
