Graduation Information
Walking in the Commencement Ceremony does NOT mean you’ve graduated. You must complete all degree requirements to be considered graduated and have a degree awarded. A graduation application must also be submitted.

When is the graduation ceremony?
We call this ceremony “Commencement”. There will be three separate ceremonies. Nursing Capping & Pinning will take place on Friday, May 7 at 1PM. Other Certificate and Associate of Applied Science programs will participate in the ceremony on Friday, May 7, 2026, at 4:00 PM Transfer degree programs (Associate of Arts, Science and General Studies) will participate in the ceremony on Friday, May 7, 2026, at 6:30 PM.
Do I have to walk in the ceremony?
Students who have met all the requirements for graduation are expected to participate.
Do I have to buy a cap & gown?
No. The Saints Bookstore will provide a cap, gown, and tassel for you at no cost. See “Things You Need to Know” below.
When will I receive my diploma?
Approximately 10 weeks after you’ve completed the last class for your degree.
Things You Need to Know
- A student must be within nine credit hours of completing their graduation requirements to participate in the Commencement Ceremony (12 credit hours for Cosmetology).
- Caps and gowns are green and must be picked up from the Saints Bookstore beginning March 29, 2026. Each graduate elect will receive a cap, gown, and standard tassel at no additional cost. These are already included in your student fees, If you would like a bling tassel, they are available for purchase at the bookstore. Students graduating with honors will need to purchase their honor cords at the bookstore.
- Remember – We want to maintain the dignity of the commencement ceremony. While we do allow you to decorate your cap, there are guidelines you must follow. Those will be sent out in an e-mail at a later date.
** Students who are unable to participate in the Commencement Ceremony must submit a letter/email to the Registrar’s office, explaining why they cannot attend**
