Seward County Community College is a two-year institution offering 45 programs of study, including Adult Basic Education, certificate programs and Associate of Arts, Science, General Studies and Applied Sciences degrees. Responsibilities

Responsible for the proficient operation of the floor and front desk by assisting with the day-to-day operations of the Wellness Center and Pool while also providing high quality customer service, enforcing the rules and policies of the college and department.

 

Qualifications

Associate’s degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school. Up to six months of Office Administration or related experience. CPR certification required within three months.

 

Excellent Communication Skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office software, such as Word and Excel and office equipment. Must be adaptable and a fast learner of new skills. Knowledge of American Red Cross lifeguard guidelines and safety procedures a plus.

 

Essential Functions

  • Trains and assists in the supervision of student employees and staff. Responsible for the development of the weekly work schedule. Enforces policy and procedures as it relates to the employee and wellness handbooks and college and department procedures.
  • Oversees the front desk and assists in the day-to-day operations of the Wellness Center. Coordinates the departmental membership system while entering, managing, and tracking data. Accepts and records payments and balances daily receipts.
  • Performs business administrative duties including composing, preparing, and maintaining written documentation, correspondence, contracts, rosters, schedules, files, social media and website. Enters departmental requisitions for payment, maintains documentation, and reconciles accounts with the college’s business office.
  • Assists patrons within the Wellness Center. Familiarize patrons with safe and effective use of fitness, aerobic, and free weight equipment. Provide excellent customer service and establish appropriate relationships with patrons. Receive, screen, and direct office visitors while also routing telephone calls and messages.
  • Organizes and facilitates meetings and special events while also provides support and follow-up.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the director.

Salary Range:  Salary commensurate with education and experience.

Selection Process
