Responsibilities
This position is responsible for recruiting and coordinating Tri-State HEP program learners. This includes overseeing and/or coordinating their enrollment, intake, testing, paperwork, and advising processes. This position will work closely with the SCCC Adult Education program coordinator, instructors, and Fort Scott HEP staff. Position time can be flexible to include day, evening, and weekend work. Must be fluent in English and Spanish.
Essential Functions
- Complete all required Tri-State HEP paperwork and reports to Fort Scott Community College.
- Input, update, track and organize student information to develop necessary reports for the Data Clerk and the Director of Adult Education.
- Communicate with students on a consistent (at least bi-weekly) basis and assist with any supportive services needed which may include training/work experience contracts, coordination with other agencies, or arrangements for transportation and counselling.
- Recruit HEP learners and implement marketing strategies across service area.
- Must be able to travel through the service area covering areas from Guymon OK to Dodge City KS.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Associates degree required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Two to five years of case management, administrative, teaching, or equivalent work. Bilingual.

Selection Process
The search committee will conduct all minimum qualification appraisals as set forth on the position announcement and job description and reserve the right to limit the number of interviews granted.
