SCCC Library to host musician John Depew

Seward County Community College presents “A conversation with musician and song-writer John Depew” on Tuesday, November 7 at 11 a.m. in the SCCC Library.

Depew, an award-winning Kansas-based musician and songwriter, will share tales from his life and career, discuss influences and inspirations for his music and perform a few of his songs.

Considering himself a traveler with a knack for combining traditional sounds with thoughtful lyrics and intriguing musicality, Depew creates songs intertwining philosophy, farming, adventure and family that tackle subjects which are often left behind by the mainstream. He is Kansas State Mandolin Champion for 2022 and a member of the Kansas Creative Arts and Industries Commission’s Kansas Touring Artist Roster.

The event is free and open to the public. Pizza and refreshments will be served.
