Seward County Community College was established in Liberal, Kansas, on Dec. 29,1967 with classes officially starting on Sept. 2, 1969. Since beginning in 1969 with 331 students, SCCC has grown to an annual headcount of over 2,638 students enrolled in over 38,827 credit hours for the 2014-15 school year. The largest graduating class in college history occurred in 2014 and had 488 students receiving a degree or certificate.
