4. Student Satisfaction

Description: The proportion of graduates whose college experience met or exceeded the expectations they held upon initial enrollment.

Source: Student satisfaction at SCCC is measured using Ruffalo Noel-Levitz Student Satisfaction Survey. The survey is administered every five years, in rotation with Community College Survey of Student Engagement (CCSSE) and a by-year between each survey. The rotation schedule was designed to reduce duplicative surveying and survey burn-out.

Targets: Seward County CC student satisfaction goals align with institutional goals and are based on historical trends. Results are reviewed by various departments and committees (relative to the survey category) after each survey cycle. Seward's targeted student satisfaction measure uses the gap between student rated importance and student rated satisfaction (importance minus satisfaction equals gap). SCCC gaps in all areas will remain at or below the national mean.
