The field of social science provides students an opportunity to study human society and social relationships. Students may specialize in a variety of areas including economics, geography, history, and political science. During their course of study, students are provided with the opportunity to examine cultural, intellectual, economic, physical, and political aspects of human development, and to understand the interactions of people locally, regionally, nationally, and globally over time. SCCC and Kansas State University have developed a 2+2 agreement which allows SCCC students to earn their Associate of Art degree in social science, then transfer those credits to Kansas State toward a bachelor's degree in social science.
