The automotive technology program at Seward County Community College provides students with the challenge of accurately diagnosing and correctly repairing late model cars and light trucks. Students train to become successful automotive technicians while learning basic mechanical skills as well as complex diagnostic procedures.
Automotive technology students at SCCC:
• Receive hands-on and classroom training through the use of textbooks, videotapes, computer programs, manufacturers training materials, service manuals, training modules, and guest speakers.
• Use up-to-date equipment such as electronic test equipment, computerized information systems, and professional quality tools to correctly and safely perform tasks.
• Work on real problems provided through customer-owned vehicles.
