Adult Learning Center

Located at 520 N. Washington Avenue, the Adult Learning Center offers a variety of services for students needing adult basic education courses before moving forward with college level courses. With a mission of providing opportunities to improve and enhance the quality of life through education, thus allowing students to become more productive members of the community, the Adult Learning Center has the following options for students to pursue:

• GED Testing: Students are able to enroll to earn a Kansas High School Diploma through GED testing offered in both a Spanish or English GED program.

• English as a Second Language (ESL): Courses assist students seeking to improve their English skills.

• Work Readiness: Students learn employable skills, effective time management and life skills, and are able to participate in citizenship preparation courses. 

• Accelerating Opportunity - Kansas (AO-K): A co-enrollment program allowing students to enroll to earn their high school diploma while also enrolling in one of the six AO-K pathways. Pathways include: EMT, healthcare, welding, machining, process technology, and CDL truck driving.
