P.I.E., Inc. Awards $36,000 in Scholarships to Seward County Community College Industrial Technology Students

LIBERAL, Kan. — P.I.E., Inc. has awarded 36 scholarships of $1,000 each to Industrial Technology students at Seward County Community College for the 2026–2027 academic year. The scholarships provide a total of $36,000 in financial support to students pursuing education and training in industrial technology fields.

The scholarships reflect P.I.E., Inc.’s continued commitment to supporting students as they prepare for careers in skilled trades and technical industries. By helping offset the cost of higher education, the organization is investing in both the students and the future workforce of the region.

“The P.I.E. committee continues to do outstanding work helping area students on their educational pathway,” said SCCC President Brad Bennett.  “These scholarships make a meaningful difference for our students and help them focus on developing the skills they need to succeed in their chosen careers.”

The scholarships will assist 36 SCCC Industrial Technology students with educational expenses during the 2026–2027 school year. Industrial Technology programs at SCCC provide students with hands-on training and technical skills designed to prepare them for careers in a variety of high-demand industries.

Partnerships between organizations such as P.I.E., Inc. and SCCC play an important role in expanding educational opportunities for students and strengthening the regional workforce. Scholarship support can help remove financial barriers while encouraging students to pursue careers in technical and industrial fields.

“P.I.E. continues to support our students through scholarships and helping provide our classrooms with industry-standard equipment,” said Dr. Amber Jones, SCCC Vice President of Career & Technical Education.  “Funds generated through the Southwest Energy Institute short courses and the annual Breeze Master Golf Tournament help make these scholarships possible.  This year’s tournament is Friday, September 18, at Willow Tree Golf Course.  We are incredibly thankful for the continued investment P.I.E. makes in our students and programs.”
