SCCC to host speaking engagement with Kansas Supreme Court Chief Justice Eric Rosen

LIBERAL, Kan. – Seward County Community College will host Kansas Supreme Court Chief Justice Eric Rosen at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 22 in the RapidFit Showcase Theater on the SCCC campus. The event is in conjunction with the Kansas Supreme Court’s docket later that evening at Liberal High School.

Rosen will discuss the role of the court, his personal journey, and the docket at the high school. He will also take questions from the audience.

The Kansas Supreme Court will conduct a special evening session, hearing oral arguments from one case at 6:30 p.m. in Liberal High School. The special session is part of ongoing outreach to familiarize Kansans with the high court, its work, and the overall role of the Kansas judiciary.

Both are open to the public.

Liberal will be the 27th community the court will visit since it began the program 15 years ago.
