The Stop Campus Hazing Act (SCHA) requires colleges and universities to disclose hazing incidents in their annual security reports. It mandates that institutions define hazing, compile statistics on reported cases, and establish transparent policies for reporting and prevention.
SCCC is committed to creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive campus community.
SCCC prohibits any form of hazing, including acts of physical abuse, psychological harm, forced consumption of substances, humiliation, or other activities that degrade individuals. Participation in, encouragement of, or failure to report hazing activities will result in disciplinary action. SCCC will investigate all reports of hazing and will take appropriate disciplinary or legal action in accordance with College policy, state or federal laws.
