Job Description:
- Field & Facility Maintenance
- Mow the baseball infield and surrounding grass areas as scheduled.
- Operate weed eaters and other landscaping equipment around:
- Baseball field
- Batting cages
- Tennis courts
- Champions Center
- Drag the baseball field and indoor facility before and after practices (weekly).
- Line and paint foul lines and bases before games.
- Assist with watering the baseball field before games and postgame.
- Maintain and clean the dugouts (minimum twice per week and before/after games).
- Maintain warning track:
- Hula hoe weeds
- Spray weed control solutions
- Blow off turf in front of dugouts and spectator stands
- Power wash the baseball stands weekly.
- Facility Clean-Up & Sanitation:
- Empty trash containers before and after games at:
- Baseball field
- Restrooms
- Press box
- Empty trash containers before and after games at:
- Champions Center
- Maintain restroom cleanliness as assigned.
- Assist with general cleanliness and organization of the Champions Center.
- Team Support:
- Complete laundry for the team twice per week (uniforms, practice gear, etc.).
- Help sew/repair nets and screens on the field, batting cages, and Champions Center.
- Assist with taking nets/screens on and off the field and cages as needed.
- Irrigation & Repair Assistance:
- Help with replacement and repair of irrigation heads:
- Digging up damaged heads
- Replacing irrigation heads
- Support minor field and facility repairs as directed.
Skills Needed:
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Dependable, responsible, and able to work independently.
- Ability to lift, carry, and operate tools and light machinery (e.g., mower, weed eater).
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Prior experience with landscaping, groundskeeping, or athletics facilities preferred but not required.
Dress Code:
Individuals must be dressed to perform the above tasks and open-toed shoes (like sandals) are not allowed.
