Job Description:

The Basketball Student Worker plays an essential role in supporting the daily operations of the basketball program, with responsibilities ranging from equipment management to facility upkeep. In addition to team-specific duties, this student position includes broader support for athletic department functions such as game day operations and event setup. 

Basketball Program Support:

• Assist with the preparation and cleanup of practice and game facilities, including gym setup, ball inflating, and equipment arrangement.
• Help manage and organize uniforms, practice gear, and game day apparel.
• Assist with team laundry duties before and after practices and games.
• Ensure locker rooms, team benches, and hydration stations are clean and properly stocked.
• Maintain and track inventory of basketballs, towels, training supplies, and other team equipment.
• Help with minor custodial tasks such as sweeping the gym floor, emptying trash, and organizing storage areas.
• Notify coaching staff when inventory or equipment needs to be replenished or repaired.

Additional Athletic Department Duties May Include:

• Assist with game day operations for other sports, including field/court setup, scoreboard operation, or serving as a game day runner.
• Help with concessions setup, restocking, and cleanup as needed.
• Support athletic staff during tournaments or special events with check-in, signage, or equipment management.
• Help maintain locker room and press box cleanliness throughout the year.
• Support administrative tasks such as copying, posting flyers, organizing team gear, or data entry.
• Participate in athletic department projects or facility maintenance tasks as assigned.

Dress Code:

Individuals must be dressed to perform the above tasks and open-toed shoes (like sandals) are not allowed.
