Job Description:
The Soccer Student Worker is a key support role within the soccer program, assisting with day-to-day operations such as practice setup, game-day preparation, and equipment management. This work-study position also contributes to broader athletic department responsibilities, including event operations and facility upkeep. The role is ideal for students interested in athletics, team management, or sports operations.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily team operations, including practice setup, ball inflating, cone/goal placement, and cleanup.
- Set up and break down for game days, including benches, corner flags, team water stations, and warm-up areas.
- Help manage and organize team uniforms, gear, and practice equipment.
- Support with laundry and cleaning of team apparel before and after games/practices.
- Maintain cleanliness of locker rooms, dugouts, and storage areas.
- Monitor equipment usage and report any damaged or missing gear to the coach.
- Assist with hydration station setup and ensuring coolers are filled and available as needed.
Additional Athletic Department Duties May Include:
- Assist with game day operations across other sports, including scoreboard operation, facility setup, or running errands.
- Provide support during tournaments or athletic events with guest check-in, signage placement, or parking assistance.
- Help maintain general cleanliness in locker rooms, training rooms, press boxes, or concession areas.
- Aid in inventory tracking of athletic supplies and notify staff when restocking is necessary.
- Perform office or clerical tasks such as copying, sorting, or posting flyers as requested.
Dress Code:
Individuals must be dressed to perform the above tasks and open-toed shoes (like sandals) are not allowed.
