How to Schedule a TEAS
Please do all the following before arriving for your appointment time at the SCCC Testing Center:
- Create an ATI account online at: https://www.atitesting.com/. Please make sure you select “Seward County CC ADN” for the nursing program and “Seward County CC Respiratory Therapy” for the respiratory therapy program on the “Institution Info” page.
- If you do not have access to a computer and/or the internet, you may create your account and pay for your exam at a SCCC library computer. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time.
- Remember your username and password that you created. Not only will you need it to register & pay for your TEAS, but also to access your exam on test day.
- Pay for your TEAS online. Currently, ATI charges $70 for the TEAS. You will need to enter the following SCCC product code to pay for your test:
- Nursing: 30601158.
- Respiratory Therapy: 30602051.
- Make an appointment with the SCCC Testing Center using the Register for Exams button.

Length: 3 hours 29 minutes
Required: for all applicants to the SCCC Nursing or Respiratory Therapy Programs.
On the day of your test, have your test receipt and your sitting fee receipt (if it’s a retake), bring a valid ID and your ATI Testing username and password.
Requirements for Testing
To be allowed to test you must have:
- A valid photo ID
- Your SCCC testing fee receipt for Nursing students retaking the TEAS.
- Your ATI login information
Additional Information
ATI offers study materials & practice tests on their website for a fee. The SCCC Library has several copies of a TEAS Study Guide available to be checked out.
During the test you will be given one sheet of scratch paper and a pencil OR a dry erase board and marker.
You may take your TEAS at any point during the year.
Retaking the TEAS
Nursing students that decide to try to improve their score, may retake the TEAS. Respiratory Therapy students may not retake the TEAS.
- You may take the TEAS only two times within a 12-month period. If you take it twice, the Nursing Program will use the higher of the two scores.
- You must wait at least 4 weeks before retaking (required by the SCCC Nursing Program).
- Contact the testing center to get a different product code to register and pay for your retake. There is a $15 sitting fee (in addition to the TEAS fee to retake the TEAS). The sitting fee must be paid to the SCCC cashier prior to beginning the retake.
ID Requirement
You will need to have a physical copy of your government-issued ID.
Note: Foreign passports will not be accepted for ATI TEAS exams.
- Driver’s License (Issued within the U.S., including U.S. Territories)
- Non-Driver Photo ID (Issued within the U.S., including U.S. Territories)
- Examples include a REAL ID or State ID Card – Please note that school-issued Student ID or Work ID will not be accepted.
- U.S. Passport
- U.S. Passport Card
- U.S. Issued Permanent Resident Card
- U.S. Military ID Card
- U.S. Military Dependent’s ID Card
- Tribal Card
All forms of ID must be the original, physical documents. The testing center will not accept photocopies or photos taken on a mobile phone.
